How broker connections stay secure

How Trade Optic handles credentials, encryption and third-party providers.

Credentials are submitted only through Trade Optic's secure broker-connection forms and sent directly to our servers. They are encrypted at rest and never stored in your browser.

  • IG: username, password and API key are encrypted server-side after connection.
  • MT5: passwords are entered on MetaApi's secure configuration page — Trade Optic never receives your MT5 password.
  • Trade Optic requests read-only trade data. We cannot move funds or place trades on your behalf.
Never send your broker password, complete API key, authentication token or payment details through email, direct messages or support chat. Only enter connection details inside Trade Optic’s secure broker-connection form. If a credential may have been exposed, revoke it through your broker immediately.
