Connect your IG account

Link IG using username, password, API key and the correct Live or Demo environment.

IG connects through Trade Optic's direct API integration. Generate an API key in My IG → Settings → API before connecting.

  1. Open Broker Connections and select IG.
  2. Choose Demo or Live to match your IG account environment.
  3. Enter your IG username, password and API key in the secure form.
  4. Optionally add an account nickname, then select Connect IG.
After a successful connection, Trade Optic syncs your transaction history. The first sync may take a few minutes for large accounts.
Never send your broker password, complete API key, authentication token or payment details through email, direct messages or support chat. Only enter connection details inside Trade Optic’s secure broker-connection form. If a credential may have been exposed, revoke it through your broker immediately.
