Broker sync vs CSV import

Choose the right method for getting trades into Trade Optic.

  • Broker sync (IG, MT5) — automatic, ongoing updates; best for active accounts.
  • CSV import — one-time or periodic manual uploads; best for unsupported brokers or historical backfill.
  • Manual log — single trades; best for quick entries or corrections.
You can combine methods. Connect your broker for ongoing sync and use CSV for older history your broker no longer exposes via API.
